Construction of the Newly-built intercity railway from Zhengzhou south station to Xinzheng International Airport started at 30th, October and will be completed before the end of 2019. This railway is the extension section of the intercity railway from Zhengzhou to Xinzheng International Airport, it is the connection line between the two main hubs-Zhengzhou south station and Xinzheng International Airport, it is an important part of the intercity rail transportation system within the Central Plains urban agglomeration also. As the first intercity railway wholly invested by Henan government, this project will significantly improve the railway network of Henan province, enhance the traffic condition of pilot zone, and aggrandize the functions of general transportation hub of Zhengzhou, synergistic develop the urban and rural regions.
